About The Game
Welcome to Undertale . In this RPG, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. Now you must find your way out or stay trapped forever. Undertale is a 2D role-playing video game created by indie developer Toby Fox. The player controls a child who has fallen into the Underground: a large, secluded region under the surface of the Earth, separated by a magic barrier. The player meets various monsters during the journey back to the surface. When players encounter enemies in either scripted events or random encounters, they enter a battle mode. During battles, players control a small heart which represents their soul, and must avoid attacks unleashed by the opposing monster similar to a bullet hell shooter. As the game progresses, new elements are introduced, such as colored obstacles, and boss battles which change the way players control the heart. Players may choose to attack the enemy, which involves timed button presses. Killing enemies will cause the player to earn EXP and gold. They can use the ACT option to check an enemy’s attacking and defending attributes as well as perform various other actions, which vary depending on the enemy.
A top-down twinstick shooter where you fight against giant alien bugs, hideous cyborg monstrosities and advanced alien psychics, with an arsenal of assault rifles, shotguns, lasers, grenades, mech suits, tanks, and nuclear airstrikes, you are part of the HELLDIVERS, an elite team of highly trained human soldiers doing their duty to protect Super Earth by “liberating” the other factions. It’s very highly tongue-in-cheek universe where “DEMOCRACY” and “LIBERTY” are yelled at every given opportunity while you’re kicking in the teeth of everyone who isn’t human.
It’s a difficult game, to be honest. Many enemies are extremely tough, and have tiny weak spots where you have to have spot on aim to kill them, and then there are some enemy types that are impervious to all your weapons except rocket launchers or airstrikes. However, the most dangerous obstacle in this game are arguably your own teammates, as friendly fire in this game is a very common occurrence, and when calling in more equipment, you can be crushed under the droppods.
