SCARF Direct Play:
Scarf is a charming puzzle platformer with gorgeous visuals, similar to Rime. However, behind its bright colours and beautiful landscapes, there are many flaws. Scarf is unfortunately riddled with bugs that developers do not seem to be addressing and admittedly, I had no clue what was happening with the story. Despite this, I still enjoyed it for its core functionality, a casual fun platformer. You play as a small blue glowing creature named Hero. Hero seems peaceful, but he has a red scarf that absorbs the seemingly friendly creatures around him. Or, this was my understanding at least I believe the story is supposed to be an invigorating tale about what it means to be a hero, and the choices you make… but that is a bit of a stab in the dark. I would not say I am generally unperceptive, even in textless games, but this one did have me perplexed.
