BeatBeat Free Download PC game in a pre-installed direct link with updates and DLCs from Steam-repacks.
BeatBeat Direct Download
BeatBeat is a funky rhythm-platformer with highly addictive Just-One-More-Try syndrome injected directly into every line of code. Use 100% of your brain! Rhythm AND Platforming at the same time! Playable with keyboard or gamepad! 15 song Safe-To-Stream-On-Twitch soundtrack featuring future funk, bleep bloops, and lofi hiphop beats for you to relax/study to! Steam Workshop Integration: Download levels made by other players or create your own! Fishing minigame! You can pet the dog! I love rhythm games so i was keen to check this out. It’s a mixture of rhythm as well as platforming, and it does go well together. You move around the level and match the arrows when the two circle notes align with each other to the music. Songs are great with different kinds of music, going from slow, rainy days melodies to upbeat and fast beats. I also love vaporware so the visual with the aesthetic is quite cool. There are plenty of songs to play, each with a harder difficulty unlocked upon completion. More levels are also on the way as it has only come out recently.
This game is difficult and doesn’t scale to well between the Resolve to Suffer difficulties (hard and super-hard), so be prepared. There is currently a level creating system were you can use your own music, create a level, and share it to steam for others to play. The level editor currently is pretty decent but I have not tested it out since any updates. The music in BeatBeat is very good and the levels do well to create interesting patterns and movements involving the music. The levels are of high quality, visually pleasing and the player controls are smooth and decently precise. I also love the pixel art and the main menu design. The controls are a little slippery, and hit detection is a little off from being perfect.
The gaps in difficulties are a little wide, but I will leave that up to over half of the levels still being in development. If you can beat a level on suffer, you deserve an award. BeatBeat feels like Mario and Guitar Hero collabed in the studio to bring something new to both the platforming and rhythm game genres. The visuals are vibrant and poppy, with color schemes blending well with tons of different backgrounds and special effects. The synth-heavy and groove-ridden soundtrack makes the levels fun, engaging, and really immerses you into the game. This is one of those “easy to pick up, hard to master” games, where I could get through the second highest difficulty no problem, but it’s going to take A LOT of practice to take on the Suffer difficulty.
